Rugged, Reliable and Tough, with features primarily designed to provide years of trouble-free service, the Kenworth C509 proves itself daily in some of the roughest and toughest environments on earth.

Since its first release in May 2015 Drake Collectibles have produced over 20 different Kenworth C509 “Big Bangers” in a range of popular Kenworth colours and some stunning company liveries.

In 2015 the standard colours included Kenworth Ice White, Charcoal, Vintage Burgundy, Chrome Yellow and the corporate Orange and Blue of Drake Trailers. Company liveries included the McAleese transport, CQ Group NHH and Betts Bower Group.

In Feb 2016, the popular liveries of Doolan Heavy Haulage and NQ Group were added to the C509 “Big Banger” stable.

In November 2016 three more C series trucks were released. In the release was the Doolan C509 Road Train truck, the McAleese C501 “Brute” and the first of the Drake Signature Series with the Bratling Tribute Truck. 

In October 2019, 5 new C509 trucks were released. This release included two plain colours, White and Burgundy. These models differed from the first release of the same colours with the addition of different full tanks and mud guards. It also included three company liveries, Toll Group, Lew Harris Transport, and the Blue and Grey model.

Towards the end of 2020, Drake Collectibles invested in some new production tooling for this very popular diecast replica. This new tooling allows for more options and many more variants for the years to come.
